Bio

Avery Bourne (age 29) is a state representative for Illinois’ 95th Legislative District. She was first appointed to the office in February of 2015 at the age of 22 and would go on to win re-election twice, most recently in 2020. Bourne’s committee assignments largely focus on education policy, and she serves as the Republican spokesperson for the School Curriculum Policies Committee. In January, 2022, Bourne announced her candidacy for Lt. Governor of Illinois, joining the ticket of Aurora Mayor Richard Irvin. Learn more about her on her official website.
