Erica Shabnam

Erica Shabnam is a sophomore double majoring in Public Policy and Information Technology & Informatics (ITI). At Rutgers, she is involved in research at the Aresty Research Center and serves as an event coordinator for a mental health organization on campus, Rutgers Together Not Alone (TNA). Erica hopes to foster a career at the intersection of technology and policy, attempting to close the digital divide and safeguard emerging technologies. With the Darien Civic Engagement Project, she wishes to strengthen young citizens’ belief that their vote counts and build up their civic engagement in government and politics. In her free time, Erica enjoys reading and writing, collecting unique jewelry, and going on long walks with no intended destination.
