Our Team
As the Associate Director for the Eagleton Institute’s Center for Youth Political Participation, Jessica is responsible for leading and strategizing the short-term and long-term goals for the Center’s signature programs: the RU Voting and RU Ready programs, as well as the Rutgers-Eagleton Washington Internship Award program. In her role, Jessica recruits and works with a team of interns and students, develops materials for each program, facilitates the Center’s event series during the semester and curates CYPP’s social media and website content. Additionally, she is the administrator of the Rutgers-Eagleton Washington Internship Award program; a donor supported award program supporting undergraduate students interested in interning in Washington, D.C. over the summer break.
Beyond her role with the Center, Jessica served as the Communication and Public Relations Manager for the Eagleton Institute as a whole from May 2023 until October 2024. During her tenure, she managed the Institute’s external and internal communications strategy, served as its media contact, drafted e-newsletters and press releases, developed and managed the Institute’s website content, and created original content for its social media channels.
As of May 2022, Jessica served as an instructor for the Rutgers Summer Service Internship Initiative companion summer course. In addition, she served on the 2021 Students Learn, Students Vote Coalition’s National Advisory Board. She began her time with Eagleton Institute in 2017 as the Graduate Project Coordinator for the Darien Civic Engagement Project under the direction of Dr. Elizabeth Matto. In May 2016, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in political science from Rutgers University–New Brunswick and went on to earn a Master’s Degree in political science from Rutgers–New Brunswick in spring 2018.
